Equipment innovations come and go. Some quickly gaining popularity, and then fade away when not shave strokes off a player's handicap. Others start slowly, and then pick up speed when they prove they can help reduce their handicaps golfers. The innovations that help players play better, as the sand wedge or hybrid club, finally, until something better comes along.

The hottest innovation in golf equipment today is adjustable clubheads. Thanks to the United States Golf Association (USGA), the U.S. see more and more of these clubs in the next year. In fact, players who attend my golf lessons are already asking about its benefits. With greater emphasis on matching trends swing to teams these days, is adjustable clubheads get a thorough analysis by golfers of order week in this country. The rest of the world will not be far behind. The question is, do pass the test club handicap.

Relaxation Rules

The market for adjustable clubheads recently received a big boost from the USGA. From January 1, the USGA is relaxing the rules of adjustment is the clubhead. Under the new rules, drivers are allowed adjustable. You can start a round of golf with a club head, use it throughout the round, and then make an adjustment for the next round. However, in mid-round adjustment in the club not allowed.

The change of rules is also paving the way for interchangeable shaft systems clubhead. In theory, you could switch an axis with different drivers of the heads from the same manufacturer to match specific courses and conditions. These systems allow golfers to quickly change the axles using a small key-no golf lessons or golf tips needed. However, since no industry standards exist for the coupling shaft of the club head hosel and sizes, these systems do not allow you to change between equipment manufacturers.

The new drivers and systems adjustment in 2008 will be hot swappable. A club manufacturer has already introduced a driver adjustable. Later this year, other companies will present their versions of the adjustable driver. Look for manufacturers to also enter fairway woods and hybrid adjustable, with two or more interchangeable axles in the near future, and more interchangeable shaft / club head systems. Club manufacturers are nothing if not aggressive.

Impact on the game

Some experts predict that drivers adjustable and interchangeable systems have a major impact on the game. We'll see. There are still some important issues Aboout that must be answered as to how much that impact will be. Not all of these questions can be answered during a session of golf instruction or in the course.

For consumers, the big question is going to cost more. If the costs of these clubs are too high, players have many weekend a market price. Obviously, the answer to that question will not be known until later in the year that most of them hit the market. But if the clubs showing its popularity, the laws of supply and demand say that probably cost more than the average driver.

Another big question is how much to improve the game Adjustable clubs. That issue was also left unanswered until later in the year. But we can speculate. Any change of equipment that helps to adapt to a club golfers swing specific needs to improve his game. So there's a good chance that the clubs will improve the game. But is it enough to keep around and to justify the high price of a manufacturer? Only time will tell.

Custom Fitting

Whatever The answer to these questions, one thing is certain. These club will continue to fuel interest in adapting the club-and why not? It remains the best way to match with your computer to your swing. If you go to a club fitter with the launch monitor better. He or she may have in your club adjustment effort, saying the next level exactly what launch angle you need to set up their units and what axle combination of clubhead for you. He or she also can tell which ball you should use.

To reduce this disadvantage of golf, you should get the most out of your computer. The purchase of a conductor adjustable and / or axis interchangeable club system is a step in that direction. It probably help your game every so often like a good golf lesson golf tip, if not more. But if you want the ultimate in adapting equipment, custom clubs still your best bet.
