What insect hatches NC metro?
I live in western North Carolina. I was digging in the red earth today and found some any type of egg or pupal cases. It is 2 inches long, black, one end is rounded the other one is a kind of point and with edges or circular bands going around. It has a bit of weight so that when you move in on the palm. Never seen anything like it, I hope someone can identify it for me. I'm curious to see what comes out.
