Brown bears are considered by many experts as the most aggressive of all types of bears. Its aggressive behavior is a natural instinct derived from their size: are too large to avoid the danger of climbing trees, and historically compete with other large predators for food. IADC brown bear (IGBC) was formed in 1983 to help ensure recovery of brown bear populations and their habitats through a coordinated policy, planning, management, and research. Other representatives are from wildlife agencies of Idaho, Montana, Washington and Wyoming. The IGBC has become the ideal model for agency coordination and cooperation efforts recovery in multiple jurisdictions covering the brown bear habitat.
IGBC established four main objectives: to perform decision makers of higher education in a coordinated effort to recover grizzly bears through policies and procedures, to coordinate the management and operations research, to implement the Grizzly Bear Recovery Plan, and to implement and oversee the management of research and recovery of all bears brown. Today, biologists estimate that the population has doubled and grizzly bears are believed to increase their numbers in most ecosystems recovery. In 2007, were removed from Endangered Species List.
