Step 1
Prepare the work area. First, select a well ventilated area that is free of clutter and anything flammable. In a resistant surface heat, like a metal work bench is to the MAPP gas cylinder and the head of the torch and secure in place using the hose clamp, L-bracket and a table clamp. Lay some glass rods and any tools you will use and position of the nearest fire extinguisher.
Step 2
Stir the release of accounts clay, adding a little water if necessary to achieve a smooth consistency. Coat both ends (about an inch) of each clay-release chuck accounts. Dip each baboon in the clay and leave a thin and even coating. Set aside the baboons for about an hour to dry.
Step 3
Turn on the gas and light the torch. Setting the amount of oxygen in the head of the torch to make a stable flame. Moving a glass rod slowly in the flame, heating and moves it closer to the tip of the cone of the flame, which is the hottest part.
Step 4
Move the spindle behind the glass, spinning and heating as well. The mandrel should be warm and the glass must be cast for the two from sticking properly.
Step 5
Tap the spindle with the tip of the molten glass rod. Turn the mandrel, wrapping molten glass around the mandrel. Continue to twist and melt the glass into the chuck if you want a rand, or add more glass and continue to melt. Remember to warm parts of the account slowly. Heat more time to smooth out bumps. Be creative with colors and crystal formations to reach their own unique creations.
Step 6
Gently move the ball away from the hot part of the flame when it is completed your account. Continue to evenly heat the glass, the phase of the flame, which helps prevent thermal shock cracking and after. Immediately adjust the account in the fiber blanket to cool for about two hours. After thoroughly cooled, remove the account of the mandrel with a slight twist. Dip the cord and the mandrel in the water also helps to separate.
