Maintaining a Seamless Gutter Machine
MAINTENANCE: the proper functioning of a seamless gutter machine and a life-long machine is highly dependent on regular maintenance and attention given to the machine. All manufacturers of machines to tell you a machine can last 20, 25 or 30 years, maybe even more. In older companies say some of their machines have operated for over 40 years. But they also know that the life of a machine is more dependent the owner and operators and how they treat a machine as the manufacturer had in the design, construction, and testing of the machine. In the opinion of at least one manufacturer of the machine, the most successful companies use an enclosed trailer stream, van or truck to transport their guttermachine. Why did this make the difference? Because it keeps your computer clean and dry. Dirt, debris, and the direct effects of weather can prematurely age your machine and make a valuable asset in a sad part of the trash. Thus, the success you want to be?
MAINTENANCE PLAN: In order to protect your investment and ensure adequate and timely handling of your equipment in the workplace, you must develop a plan for maintenance, inspection and cleaning of the gutter machine. The application This plan will require the involvement and participation of the machine operators as well as the person responsible for lubrication, inspection and cleaning machine. Every day before operating the machine, the operator must inspect electrical components and wiring. Loose wires or components, discoloration which may indicate overheating, or any other signs of damage. In conducting this survey will also seek any dust, dirt or debris within machine. If found any, must be removed before starting operations.
LUBRICATION: lubricate the cutting blade up with the recommended lubricant. Often this will be one that contains Teflon or silicone. Avoid overspray on parts where they belong. Lubricate the other parts of the cutting mechanism WEEKLY with oil (to times SAE-90 non-detergent oil is recommended, other manufacturers recommend chain oil). Lubricate the drive chain with a lubricant recommended monthly (perhaps motorcycle, a farm, or industrial chain oil). Check the tension of the string. Adjust if necessary. Most machine manufacturers object to the use WD-40 as a lubricant. Its purpose is as a pervasive, and has the effect of removing oil or grease from parts. Check your operating manual and follow the recommendations the manufacturer of the machine.
CLEANING: Cleaning the bottom of the machine should be done regularly. Make sure the machine is turned off and unplugged Supply of electricity, while he is performing the cleanup. A monthly cleaning is considered optimum by some machine manufacturers. Remove dust, dirt or debris from inside the machine. This can be done with compressed air or a vacuum hose. If compressed air is used, avoid blowing dirt or debris in moving parts or the motor. Some manufacturers suggest using a pressure washer. When using this technique should be careful to avoid spraying cleaning pressure or electrical boxes or components. Empty trash cut chips. Be careful not to spill the chips or debris inside the machine. Look for any sign of burrs, chips, or the accumulation of guides and rollers. If the accumulation of cars, parts cleaning with the recommended solvent in a soft clean cloth. The solvent must be one that leaves no residue on parts. Acetone, paint thinner, lacquer thinner, or have been recommended to check their manual operation.
EXTRACTION WASTE ACCUMULATION: If cleaning with solvent and a rag does not remove the marks, burrs or buildup, try to remove them by gently sanding with fine sandpaper part. Polishing other trademarks are offering a Scotch Brite pad. Keep covers and safety panels closed except when working on the machine. Never open panels to run ditch. ABOVE all, protect the earth from MACHINE, dust, debris and foreign objects WORK of all kinds. In just a few seconds a nail or screw can be pulled through of his machine, causing $ 1,000 damage or more. How many jobs must be completed to win $ 1,000 of profit to pay for repairs?
STORING YOUR MACHINE: If not using the guttermachine, for 30 days or more, save in a well-protected (preferably inside). Make a plan to run for a few minutes each week, just to keep the lubricants in the bearings and chains smooth distribution. This gives better protection against any rust or corrosion.
MACHINE ADJUSTMENTS AND REPAIRS misalignment materials on the machine is cited as the most common cause of sewer malformed. The machine was carefully aligned at the factory. Technicians from the factory or dealer are available to make alignments and corrections when necessary. Because this is something we do regularly, who are experts in making such adjustments. Although the proper adjustment technique is complicated and involves many steps, some manufacturers recommend that someone in the company be trained to make these adjustments. This can only serve as an emergency backup to outside service personnel, or the owner may choose to perform alignments when necessary. Overall recommends that, after learning to make these adjustments, it is better to change the settings of infrequently as possible. The tendency to play with the adjustments often creates more problems than it solves.
