Can I connect a battery charger and battery in series with double the output voltage?
I have a 3 amp 18 volt battery charger and two 5 amp, 6 volt batteries. I'm building a hydrogen generator and want the maximum amount of current and volts.So if I connect the charger batteries and 2 batteries in series I get an output of 18 +6 +6 = 30 V or if I can connect in parallel 5 +5 +3 = 13 amps??? Is this possible? By Please help.Proper preferred answers with scientific explanation.
With the agreement of the current series probably will be limited by the battery charger. With the side agreement, the full current is obtained only when the batteries are freshly charged. As the battery discharges the current of the charger will deviate final load in recharging the batteries.
