What is the huge bug I saw?
Saw this MASSIVE freakin bug on the Thai/Laos border. I found it on a table one morning in a restraunt. Mistook it for the plastic toy variety. A dog had apparently had a go of it, and ripped a wing and punctured it’s body. The bug was also frothing and spitting up milky bubbles onto the table (puke?). The hotel owner wrote the hotel name across it’s wing covers, with a fat black marker.
This insect had wings and wing covers. It was honestly over ten inches and THICK. It was light green all over. No variation in color. It was LIKE a grasshopper (katydid-esque), sans the jumpy legs. It was flexible; ie bendy. After nearly wretching in fright upon discovering it was ALIVE (not plastic), the owners son grabbed it by the wings and wing covers and flung it into a tree. It had mass, cuz the kid flung it from a ways off, and it tumbled through the air a great distance til it smacked tree trunk.
Not a phasmid or mantid. I’ve researched, forums univ. profs. no help. You know what it is?

If it’s what’s in these pictures it’s a Giant Katydid, scientific name Stilpnochlora couloniana.

Having Fun With Table Tennis
Table tennis, also known as Ping Pong is a sport that can be played indoors and outdoors as the designated table divided by a net present outdoors and the conditions are ideal for play. But generally, table tennis is a sport interior. The basics of the game at two or four players hit a ball and each resulting from the use of paddles. If you saw a professional table tennis you’ll be fascinated by the speed of reflexes players.

The race to 11 has since been adopted in international competitions. But the 21 point scoring system is still played by most people in recreation even small competition.
