Ryobi vs craftsman?
Ok I need help here Savy boys and girls power tool. My husband wants some power tools for Christmas, a more particuarly saw or drill. He prefers only Craftsman and Ryobi. So the two I have mentioned what would you recommend more and why? Also if anyone can help it would be more useful for wood working enthusiasts, a table saw or drill? I can only buy one for Christmas. You'll have to wait for his birthday or something else. I understand that there are other high quality tools out there but I'm sticking with her requests and what they really can afford, so do not suggest any other brand. I know some of you have mentioned Dewalt and both husband and I agree they're awesome but we also have a mortgage to pay LOL
The range is the most important tool for a woodworker. Ten years ago I was a loyal Craftsman. But Sears has Craftsman has changed and basically abandoned the "replace, no doubt," the guarantees made so popular Craftsman. As a former sales guy at Sears tool, I can say that the tools Craftsman no longer sustain the quality of sage. My choice is DeWalt, but since you invited us to choose between the options that my vote is definitely for Ryobi unless it is raising the price of higher end cabinet saws. Then I would go with the craftsman. It sounds like you are at a medium price range ($ 600??) As if that is the case to go with Ryobi.
