Landscaping Help?
I have a piece of property that was summarized in two houses. These houses were demolished in around February 2007. Nothing has grown. There is still a house on the property being the subject of use. As for the land on which the two houses before the soil is dry, weeds and crystals broken everywhere. Not to mention that left the concrete porch there. I plan to make a fire / BBQ pit outside. I collected all the broken glass ceramic and pulled most of the weeds .. What should I do to get the grass grows back? I Absolutley no experience? How can I buy the seed? What I do?
Some grass seed is sold in mixed fertilizer (Scott) and flows quite rapidly. They do the sun and shade seed also so if your area is the shadow that would try. Keep it watered. Spring / Fall are the best times to plant. Do not let the seeds dry and not allow them sit in a puddle (or may rot.) Some people try to straw as mulch to keep soil cool and moist. You can, but the straw tends to have weed seeds mixed in it. I like to use fresh cut glass cuts (from other areas of the yard) as cover. Good luck!
