Can anyone help me with 25 pounds hanging a shelf IKEA hanging dry wall?
Here is the link to the platform. Http: / / www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10094244 It is very heavy and dry wall and we've never done this before. All I have is a power screwdriver / drill (n bits) and a hammer. Where do I start and what would be the best route? I just use plastic anchors? Can anyone give me step by step instructions? I guess AGAO to hang this thing a month and GF is upset by it. I put if you want to make sure I do well not to RIPP part of the wall dry. Thanks to all
It's pretty safe using the plastic wall anchors. Just be sure to use enough of them (at least top, bottom and middle of each upright) and wall anchors are classified to contain the total amount of weight that is expected to put on the shelf. Do not use the standard push in type, use the screw in type, are actually bolted to the wall and are much stronger and much less likely to accidentally leave. Ask someone at your local Lowe's or Home Depot to recommend anchoring suitable.
