Is it possible to eliminate transmission in a 97 Dodge Caravan?
My freinds caravan was in an accident, who just rebuilt the transmission, and we try to rescue sell on eBay or something, Arnt motivated enough to take it to a garage and get a lift, will it be possible to drop the transmission, with jack stands only in the place in the courtyard just use an impact wrench, sockets and other tools necessary, if we remove the wheels and axles, and unlock? [Edit] transsexual pulling the rear-drive vehicle with a SBC is nothing like what you're getting into. It's like a secret engineers set out to make an engine that was easy to manipulate when they made the SBC, so do not let your hopes up. But do not let my warning dissuade you, either. Get the powertrain excess and you should be able to blow the tranny the engine without too much trouble. If I remember correctly, the link is a shifter cable through the firewall, be sure to get loose because that rascal is hard and will cause the tranny to swing 'round fun if still is connected.
