How can I drill a 2 "hole in 1 / 4" cast iron with a hand drill?
What tools can be used and how I go about drilling a hole 2 inches in 1 / 4 inch cast iron? I only have a hand drill for use.
Hand drill I hope that means a hand electric drill. If this is the case, use a quality 1 / 8 "Drill Bit and a series of holes as close as possible. When you have drilled the last hole, you should be able to bring down the center with the highlights of a hammer.

Belling drilling and docks Foundation bell repair fund
Where the method of Bell Bottom pier foundation repair select the owner has made a choice to use the "old fashioned" method. Unlike other methods of repair of the foundation, the method Bell Bottom Pier has been tested and is the most reliable and permanent solution to concrete slab foundations.
Before the current drilling and belling process has been an inspection of the building structure and its foundation. An experienced contractor will review the charts and suggestions for the placement of the docks. Normally Bell Bottom Piers can be placed every eight feet around the perimeter of the foundation and provide more than enough support for the foundation. If any internal support is necessary, then spring will be placed in indoor places.
A box should be excavated at the site of placement of spring for several reasons. This "box" was dug under and slightly outside the perimeter of the foundation. Will be approximately three feet by four feet with a depth of three feet. It was sailing down a point on the axis of the pier will be drilled. The purpose of the case is twofold. It will make space for the team to install the dock and all the bottom of the box is the shape of the concrete pier cap.
Once the "box" has been completed and the entire floor has been removed from the area, team can begin the drilling process. The team will commence the drilling of Bell Bottom Pier with drilling motor. Each axis and the bell are dug with a team of two men until they reach soil or bedrock stable. The auger drilling or excavation is placed in a vertical metal shaft is reduced as more soil is removed. The two men from a team must have a T-bar form in a stable position, while the metal shaft and drilling are spinning. The turning force is provided by a gasoline engine that compresses air. Since a certain amount of soil is cut to two men from a computer stops the rotation of the drill and shaft. It will raise the rig and cut through the floor of the pit. The soil is placed in a cart to be removed from the site. The two men from one team to repeat this process until they reach the desired depth for the shaft of the pier.
During the process drilling of one or more of the work crew will be assembling steel rebar for the pillars. The axis of the pier will have three steel bars placed in Inside the wet concrete. The top of the pier will have two "carpets" of steel bars placed in the wet concrete. The steel bars will Pier greater strength and longevity.
The final part of the soil excavation for the pier is the process of Belling. A unique tool is attached Belling the vertical axis of metal and dropped down the shaft of the pier. This tool has two tabs that "fly out" to cut the floor. These flanges are "fly outwards, due to the centrifugal force of spinning bell tool. The two men in a team then the tool will increase along with soil that has been cut. The floor is cut into the tool and the roar team will have to carefully remove the soil before continuing. Repeat this process until the foot or bell-bottom has been completely cut and excavated. The final walk will have a diameter of 22 inches and will rely on either bedrock or stable soil.
Bell bottom pier is fully excavated. It consists of a cap, shaft, and the bottom of the bell. You are now ready for casting the wet concrete and placement of steel rods. It will provide a significant amount of support the foundation to rest on the top.
