Machining centers, CNC lathes, rotary tables, mini mills, super mini mills. What r these?
I am applying for a place that sells these. It's just an administrative position, but I'm trying to learn something about the company.
Lathes: Cut on the horizontal milling machine: Cuts in the vertical plane of CNC lathe: This is a lathe controlled by a computer. Usually a person, usually a designer "program" designed to cut. This "program" is created in special software that is compatible with the machine and is essentially just a set of coordinates in a format that the machine can understand. Then this program is fed to the machine by the operator. The TNC then proceed to cut the design along the "program" itself. In this point, the only reason that the operator would get involved is to stop the machine if there is a problem of some kind. There is also a CNC milling machine (often called machine CNC), which is similar, except that the cuts from the vertical and not horizontal, like a lathe. There was a huge bed that allows the machine to cut the length total object automatically. Rotary table: Used with a milling machine (looks like a drill with steroids). Allows the object to cut to rotate 360 degrees on the vertical (Z) so that all parts are accessible without having to remove, rotate, and reset each time. I mean … if this is the kind I'm thinking. Mills and factories Mini Super Mini: smaller versions of a standard milling machine and are capable of cutting smaller objects with greater accuracy.
