I want to build stuff, what tools do I need?

I want to build a daybed, a TV stand and a desk. I have sketched the designs are very simple, clean lines. One suggestion about what material / timber would be nice too. Thank you!

Without knowing your skill level or Design This is a difficult question to answer. If you are planning to build only the pieces of furniture and be done with the furniture I just want suggest paying someone to do it for you. If this is a kind of hobby or are looking to get something you can do the job for me, as a suggestion would be to find someone who is experienced and willing to teach. You can also check and see if a vocational school near you has some kind of class you could take. Moreover, if you check your local library should have a lot of books on furniture making, joinery and carpentry. Pick a few with project plans and seek something similar to your design. This will give a better idea of what you need and help you develop an action plan for your project. Also feel free to browse my site for more information about woodworking tools.
