Miter saws cut with a circular blade spinning. It is small and portable, with blades ranging from 8 to 12 inches in diameter. A miter saw can be manual or motorized. It has 3 general models:
Miter Saws – a miter saw is the least expensive and easier model. Its engine is in the swing arm that can turn right or left to create angled cuts. It is better to use the trim on the windows or doors.
Compound Miter Saws – Miter Saws compounds are useful in the manufacture of frames and moldings. Engine changes to the right and left. Can be tilted to achieve beveled cuts. Comes with 10-inch and 12 inch blades. Compound miter saws are generally more expensive than other models.
Sliding Compound Miter Saws – A versatile saw has a sliding function similar to a radial arm saw. The mountain sinks into the work area for a limited stock. The blade can pass through the rail for further cutting.
Components of a Basic miter saw
Blade
The blade is the most important part. Sizes range from 8, 10 and 12 inches. Expand blades cuts already. Different blades miter saw is used in various applications. Leaves common include:
• Steel Blades — expensive sheet that works well for cutting softwood, but dull quickly in hardwood.
• Carbide Blades – This type of sharp blade is much longer than other blades. It is more expensive than steel and high speed blades.

The miter index allows flexibility to the blade. Angular leaf is adequately according to the work area. Most miter saws allow a precise degree of incremental changes in the miter index. It has a stop function to set the index to miter angles commonly used (15 °, 30 ° and 45 °).
Positive stops
These are the factory adjustment points that allows a precise cut at an angle. More stops positive to create a shorter installation time.
