I think the comments of this tool Fein Multimaster are about on target. This is a good tool and does what it publishes. But an tool that basically vibrates really fast need cost $ 400? Here are my thoughts:
The patent on Fein Power Tools has expired and there are several multimaster'clones. A short list: Rockwell, Dremel, Harbor Freight Tools, Bosch. Of these, the Bosch is probably the best, and even has the knives Fein. However, as of this writing only version can be purchased in the U.S. uncorded. Not the kind of tool to be powered by a battery.
All Fein Accessories are very successful. The role of sanding is great and if you have not used an oscillator of this kind before (for example, if you're used to using a Black and Decker'Mouse "or something similar) will be pleasantly surprised by this update. The other accessories also work well, but I would not use the E-Blade or E-Blade Cutting metal, unless it is extremely thin. Do not try to cut hard metals.
I agree that grade plastic inserts are not professionals. The case itself it is satisfactory, but I like the Bosch case.
Blades. Leaves replacement purchase of this specific tool could be a drag. Fein blades are of course excellent, but an original price of $ 15 and up you are talking about another release of his hard earned money.
