How is a citizen of Vermont to foreigners who want to live there?
For my husband (U.S. citizen) and I (Belgian woman) would a dream to live in Vermont, so we are planning to move there in about three years. We are now living in Belgium and want to know how Vermont citizens are foreigners.
My mother was an alien. She came to Vermont from Ireland in the 1950s. My father was a true Yankee who ate apple pie and cheddar cheese cold for breakfast with a knife. My mother was well accepted by the local marmots. She also has some Irish partners have friendship with one. Things have not changed much in 50 years. If you're not an ax murderer and if you're not a snob will find the natives are very friendly. People will be curious about his accent, so do not be offended when they ask.
